The "no sign up, no limits" trap

If a site promises "free, no sign up, unlimited" and immediately renders a paywall over a blurred NSFW grid, it is an ad funnel for a credits system, not a tool. This pattern runs at scale: Wired-sourced reporting counted 29,000+ explicit "AI girlfriend" ads across Meta platforms promising "NSFW pics" and "no censoring." The funnel is always the same: AI-generated woman in an ad, landing page with a fake chat, forced signup, credits purchase.
