Starpery is the brand owners bring up when the conversation turns to skin. It is a Shenzhen silicone and hybrid specialist, founded around 2020 under CEO Evan Lee, and it made its name on two things: how sublime the silicone feels, and how much weight it cuts out of a full-size doll.

What Starpery is

Its public roadmap is ambitious to the point of sci-fi (talking dolls in 2021, walking dolls in 2023, smart robots in 2025, service robots by 2030), and it has talked publicly about training its own LLM for doll interaction.

Take the robot roadmap with salt: as of mid-2026 the official site sells dolls and an "AI Doll" app, not a walking robot. If the robot ambitions interest you, I put them in context in sex robots, the honest state of the art. What Starpery actually ships today is excellent silicone.

The two things Starpery is actually good at

The skin. The recurring owner verdict is unusually strong. A detailed September 2025 review of a 165cm Starpery called the silicone skin "so sublime, as close to human skin as I've imagined." That is the brand's whole reputation in one line, and it holds up across the photo-heavy owner threads.

The weight. Starpery's Weight Reduction tech is the other headline, and it is real engineering, not marketing.

The method is a foam core inside the silicone that mimics a real fat layer, and the numbers on the official Weight Reduction page are meaningful: a 172cm body drops from over 35kg to 29kg. One owner even weighed his 165cm at 32kg against an advertised 42.6kg. If full-size doll weight puts you off (and you should read the weight guide before you buy any big doll), Starpery is one of the best answers in the market.

What it costs

Real prices from official pages: the Qingwen 171cm D-cup full silicone at $2,780 base, with options that tell you a lot about the range (Ultra Soft Silicone adds 500, but choosing a TPE body instead subtracts 500, and Ultra Soft TPE subtracts 300). That option menu is the key to Starpery value: the silicone head plus TPE body hybrid keeps the brand's famous face and skin-paint on a cheaper body, which is the budget path into the brand.

The current caution: customer service

Here is the part I will not bury. As glowing as the product reviews are, there is a live customer-service red flag from mid-2026. A June thread titled "Is Starpery on vacation?" has an owner waiting on a replacement body since December 2025 with no response since mid-May, and a second poster whose April order got a tracking number on April 30 that never moved.

There is also the usual factory-photo QC risk (a June thread flags an asymmetric breast at the factory-photo stage), which is exactly why you use the photo-approval step.

Go in with two eyes open on customer service in 2026, buy through an authorized vendor, and use the photo approval and the anti-fake code. The doll is the strong part. The wait and the communication are the parts you manage.
